Jenna is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She completed both her Masters Degree in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Jenna has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of concerns and has specialized experience and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders across the lifespan. She believes strongly in the importance of ongoing learning and currently facilitates a monthly study group for therapists in the Waterloo region.
As an experienced client herself, Jenna believes everyone can benefit from the insight and personal growth therapy brings and strives to offer this to her clients with her down-to-earth approach.
Her goal as a therapist is to provide clients with insight and strategies to work with their thoughts and emotions, so that they can get back to focusing on what they really care about and value in life.
Throughout the therapy process, she works collaboratively with her clients to set and achieve practical goals that are realistic for their lives right now.
Jenna has been studying, working, and living in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for the past 8 years. In her down time you can find her cuddled up with a good book, obsessing over her cute dog, baking a new recipe, or practicing calligraphy.
