Gulin’s Bio:

Gulin holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). She has 10 years of clinical experience working in healthcare settings with adults and children who have experienced anxiety, depression, grief and loss, domestic and family violence, and trauma. She believes in a holistic approach and encourages her clients to supplement their therapy with exercise, yoga, nutrition awareness, and mindfulness practice.

Gulin’s primary approach to therapy is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she uses to resolve her clients’ present day symptoms at their roots. In fact, she is Transformation Counselling’s most highly trained EMDR therapist, and she regularly provides consultation and education to other local EMDR clinicians.

Gulin moved to Waterloo from Turkey 15 years ago. She has been fortunate to work with many diverse clients over the years, each of whom have contributed to her learning and development. In her down time, she enjoys jewellery design, travel, healthy food, yoga, and spending time with her family.
