Adam holds Masters degrees in both Community Psychology and Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and he is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
Adam has worked with children and families in a variety of roles over the last 10 years, including one-to-one and family counselling, and until recently, he helped young victims of crime navigate the court system, prepare for trials, and deal with the aftermath of testifying in court.
Driven by his own experiences of loss and trauma, Adam has studied the intersection of psychology and spirituality for over 15 years. His regular meditation practice - which has included several intensive retreats - enables him to easily connect with others, provide a calming presence, and allow the necessary time and space for clients to express themselves.
In his clinical work, Adam is a firm believer that clients need to feel heard, respected, and connected. He has a fascination with what it takes to be happy in this one life we have to live, with all of its joys and pains, and is honoured to help others explore this mystery. And while all of this life stuff can be quite serious, Adam often finds a way to incorporate humour into the mix.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing sports (mostly soccer these days), playing and listening to music, cooking, watching and listening to comedies, and playing with any friendly animal he can find, including his 2 cats.
